Privacy Policy
1. What the app does
KNOuX SmartOrganizer helps users inspect and organize selected local files, view measured Windows system and storage information, and review proposed actions. The reviewed development preview uses local, read-only diagnostics for several modules. Features described as previews may not execute live changes or connect to third-party accounts.
2. Local device data
When you authorize a folder or diagnostic operation, the app may process relevant file names, paths, sizes, types, timestamps and Windows system metrics locally to display search results, reports and proposed actions. Avoid selecting folders containing sensitive information if you do not want the app to inspect their metadata. File and system changes must require the relevant approval and safeguards; do not interpret a preview as proof of a completed action.
3. Google account permissions
At the effective date, the Google Workspace interface reviewed in the project is a local preview with no live Google account connection. For future opt-in integration, the development OAuth configuration may request openid, email and profile to identify the signed-in Google account, and spreadsheets.readonly to display Google Sheets that the user is permitted to view. These permissions do not authorize editing or deleting Sheets. Additional Google services will require separately disclosed permissions and an implemented authorization flow; appearing in a preview does not mean they are connected.
4. Google data use and sharing
Once an integration is actually enabled, Google user data will be used only to provide the functionality the user requests and has authorized, such as displaying spreadsheet content inside the app. We do not use Google user data for targeted advertising, sell it, or use it to train generalized AI models. Access is subject to Google’s API Services User Data Policy, including applicable Limited Use requirements. We do not grant unrelated third parties access to Google account data.
5. Storage, security and retention
The current reviewed preview has no Google OAuth token storage because it has no working Google connection. Any later version that stores credentials must use an appropriate operating-system-protected credential store, disclose that behavior, and implement revocation and disconnection. Data cached by application features, when applicable, may persist locally until removed by available controls, application reset, or uninstall, subject to operating-system backup behavior. Please check release notes for functionality introduced after this policy date.
6. Your choices and controls
- Do not authorize optional folders or Google access you do not want the app to use.
- Review Google scopes before granting consent, and revoke a grant at Google Account — Third-party connections.
- You may report privacy concerns or request clarification through the project support tracker. Do not post private data, tokens, credentials, or sensitive files in a public issue.
7. Other services and updates
Google services have their own privacy terms. This notice will be revised before newly connected integrations or materially different data practices are made available. Significant changes will be reflected in the published policy and associated application disclosures.
